Campus Journalism

The Jeepney Express

The passage of the Philippine Campus Journalism Act of 1991 enables the development and promotion of student journalism, the rights of the youth, and preserving the integrity of students' publications. Through campus journalism, students are given the opportunity to hone and practice their journalistic skills and serve as the voice of change by letting readers reflect on pressing issues of the society.

 

Campus journalism equips the community and the country to rise above the pandemic and to continuously share correct and truthful information. Malagasang II Elementary School has continuously sharpen the skills and talents of the young campus journalists.

Achievements

Malagasang II Elementary School bagged awards in the recently conducted Division Schools Press Conference held at Imus National High School. The said competition was participated by the public and private elementary schools in the Division of Imus City.

Despite the limitations brought about by the pandemic, M2ES campus journalists continued to excel during the conduct of the first virtual Division Schools Press Conference. The top 4 winners of the VDSPC participated the VRSPC.

M2 Battalion

Home of the Champions

Nagkamit ng medalya sa iba't ibang larangan ng isports ang M2 Battalion sa naganap na Cluster Meet noong Pebrero 7-9,2023.

Laking tuwa ng mga manlalaro ng Paaralang Elementarya Ng Malagasang II sa mga nakuha nilang parangal sa kanilang sinalihang palaro. Hindi naging hadlang ang maikling preparasyon upang makasungkit ng mga medalya sa nasabing palaro.

Pasasalamat sa lahat ng coaches sa pangunguna ng ating School Sports Coordinator Sir Jericho Llavore at sa ating Punongguro IV Ma'am Jocelyn Andico Limosinero sa di matatawarang suporta para sa mga atletang M2 Battalion.

Folkloric Dance Troupe

Isang Sulyap sa Kultura ng Sayaw

Isang Sulyap sa Kultura ng Sayaw is a cultural and arts project of the Malagasang II Elementary School that will give us a glimpse of the past folk dances up to the present time modern twirl of movements in the dance floor. 

 

Folk dances are important because they help keep the culture and tradition alive. This Philippine culture will be handed down from one generation to another starting in our school.

 

The objectives are as follow:

  1. To arouse better appreciation of Philippine music and traditional dances

  2. To poster patriotism and nationalism through study of our dances

  3. To develop a graceful and rhythmic coordination of body movements that will improve posture

  4. To demonstrate the growth of Filipino culture through the evolution of Philippine dances

  5. To preserve the Philippine culture and pass it on to the next generation. They are a uniting force to the Philippine people.

Girl Scout of the Philippines

Girl Scouting is one of the most significant and helpful activity that every girl should be part of. It has been part of the education years of almost all women around the world who are into worthwhile activities. DepEd Order 68, s. 2003 talks about Revitalizing the Boy/Girl Scouting Movement in Schools.

The Scouting Movement, through the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), is an effective program in the leadership and value formation of every child. The main objective of this Program is consistent with the Department’s mission to enhance, support, and develop boys and girls into well-rounded individuals with exemplary character. The BSP and the GSP have, so far, produced leaders who are true to the Scout Oath and Law or Girl Scout Promise and Law.

​

As part of the active members of the organization, the Malagasang II Elementary School conducted several activities joined by more than 800 registered Girl Scouts (Twinkle Scouts, Star scouts and Junior GSP Scouts), together with the active troop leaders of the school. Those activities showcases the girl power, creativity, cooperation and humanitarian heart of every girl scouts.

Boy Scout of the Philippines

​       Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is an effective co-curricular program in the leadership and value formation of every child. Its main objective is consistent with the Department of Education’s mission to develop every boy and every young man into well-rounded individual with exemplary character worth the emulation of school children. The BSP has consistently produced leaders and role models who are true advocates of the Scout Oath and Law.
