Project Health and Wellness

The program is a partnership between the Department of Education and Nestle Philippines, Inc. (NPI) and will be implemented by Greatfil Team Inc. (GTI), in coordination with the DepEd Regional Offices.

OBJECTIVES:

To educate the pupils on how to live a healthy life through the Nestle Wellness Campus Program with the use of the Nestle Healthier Kids Modules;
To encourage the pupils to choose nutritious food and drink options pursuant to the five (5) healthy habits as follows:

Choose nutritious and varied options
Manage portions
Choose to drink water
Enjoy meals together
Play actively

To involve and educate parents and community by providing them with nutrition modules that will guide them on how to raise healthier kids.

Malagasang II Elementary School as an advocate of health and wellness of the pupils, teachers, parents, communities and stakeholders strongly supports the Wellness Campus Program.

Through collaborative efforts of each individual involved in the program, and different school’s best practices in the implementation of Wellness Campus, the nutritional status of the pupils was improved.

The program also served as an eye opener for the parents regarding healthy and nutritious food being prepared for their kids guided by the Pinggang Pinoy.

Malagasang II Elementary School tried its very best to conduct different activities and programs that brought big impact not only for the pupils and teachers but also in the community. As Wellness Campus Implementer, the school was awarded as 2017 Regional Champion and 8th Placer National Level, 2018 Regional Champion and 2nd Placer National Level.
