Promote home gardening as a means to increase literacy, numeracy, non-academic skills, and mental health

  • 5885 learners from Kinder to Grade 6 including 70 Learners with Special Education Needs (SPED) and 46 ALS as well as their family (parents/guardians)

  • 982 key partners excluding parents’ number and internal stakeholders

  • 115 English Non-Readers and 18 Filipino Non-Readers

  • 500 struggling numerates


Impact of Contribution or Innovation

  • 100%  (5885 out of 5885)  increased on academic performance in all subject areas

  • 100% (115 English Non-Readers to 0, 18 Filipino Non-Readers to 0) increased  in the reading level  of  Non-readers (cannot identify the letter sounds, NR to struggling or instructional)

  • 84.6% ( 423 out of 500 ) increased performance of struggling numerates

  • 67.23% increase in home gardening and support to DepEd Gulayan sa Tahanan or Urban Gardening at Home and School-Family-Community Partnership (stated at DM 53 2.2020)

  • 100% increase in stakeholders/partnership in educational support via community tutors and learners’ needs and materials provision

  • 100% safety of learners
